independence!

on a special day (that fell on saturday, august, 15th this year), for a change, i got up quite early (at around 4.45 am!)... got ready... caught a bus for thane... reached at 10am... got fresh... went to a friend's place... met schoolmates... been to old 'katta' to meet my theatre group... back home at 10pm... a drink & dinner... slept!
for me, as usual, the day was over! rather, the 'independence day' was over!
honestly i did not do anything that made myself feel like an independence day. i didn't do any flag hosting, neither did i participate in any rally, nor did i go for any 'abhiyaan', nor did i watch the parade & honourable prime minister's speech on tv!

all i did - in fact, all i do everyday is:
i follow traffic rules;
i don't support bribing;
i don't spread any rumours on social media;
i don't forward any message that insults any political leader (irrespective of any good or bad track record of that leader);
i never spit or throw any garbage at public places;
i try to save the water & electricity whenever & wherever possible;

isn't it a way to celebrate the independence?
not just on a specific day or date... but all 365 days of a year!
isn't it a true meaning of freedom?

it's not any philosophy to be taught to people through any reality show on some tv channel
it's not any extra-ordinary skill that needs any specific course or coaching or training
it's not any rocket science

it's just a belief that every person should have & should follow it whole-heartedly
it's just a way to contribute to the growth & well-being of country & humanity
it's just something i always wanted to share

jai hind!
